Salar 40 Yacht and marina berth license at Hobsonville. Salthouse Marine built and Laurent Giles design. GRP hull and topsides, launched 1976, powered by 75hp Volvo diesel shaft drive, both motor and transmission are not working and in need of overhaul. Current owner has a second hand 75hp John Deer motor and box ready to be fitted into this vessel. The vessel has wheel steering aft and centre cockpit. Alloy mast, s/s rigging, furling headsail. Sails include 2 mainsails, 2 genoas (furling), 1 storm jib, 1 spinnaker. Dinghy davits, solar panel, 2 toilets, holding tank on forward toilet, shower, compressor driven fridge and freezer not working, LPG 2 burner stove and oven. 2 Cabins, 3 single berths, 1 double aft with separate head. Electronics include VHF, fishfinder, depthsounder, autopilot, stereo, to name a few. Hull tidy but needs a polish. Internal timber work is in good condition with new antifoul etc. This vessel is being sold with the knowledge that the motor and box need rebuilding.
