Immaculately presented 1930’s Staysail Schooner. If your heart desires classic beauty, glamorous history and solid reliability, this is the yacht for you. Simply put, it is a "Statement" vessel. Owned by General Patton and believed to have belonged to Gene Kelly, she exudes pedigree and good taste. She is a John G. Alden design built to exacting standards and is both beautiful and solid. Originally constructed in Maine USA of laminated timber epoxy with Oregon masts. After being sailed to New Zealand she had a 2-year rebuild with cold moulded Kauri epoxy making her stronger than ever. With only one owner in the last 20 years she’s been professionally maintained to the highest standard. In 2019 the masts were reconditioned and the hull and cabin repainted. The interior woodwork is immaculate. She has been fully imported into New Zealand and is currently in Inshore Survey for 15 passengers with sleeping space for 9. She has a Ford 86hp diesel engine. However, under full sail she easily cuts through the water at 8 knots.
So, whether you want an amazing charter opportunity or simply want to sail in style - look no further.
