This Whiting 29 was built by Whiting Yachts for the designer, Paul Whiting and launched 1984. Solid hand laid GRP with full length glassed in stringers, with a relatively new double spreader rig supported by a reinforced 13mm bulkhead. All sail handling can be managed from the cockpit. The deck is balsa core fibreglass and the cabin top has a separate internal liner with a 3mm cork layer between for sound and thermal insulation. Powered by a Nanni Kubota diesel driving a 1 inch diameter shaft and 3 bladed folding propeller. The galley is well set up for cruising with freezer and marine s/steel 2 burner oven. The saloon has a table with wrap around seating to port and a settee to starboard. There is a toilet and double berth forward and a large quarter berth aft, in total accommodating 2 double and 2 single berths. There is a 2.2m AquaPro tender and 2hp Yamaha auxiliary.
